Dr. Margaret Anne Detmer

Dr. Margaret Anne Detmer has been a member of the Wichita community since 1973. She attended Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and Newman University to receive her Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended UMKC School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1988. 

She then went on to establish Detmer Family Dentistry over 30 years ago and has been providing quality, compassionate dental care ever since. Her favorite thing about being a dentist is being able to form a trusted relationship with her patients and their families. Being able to be a part of her patients’ lives as they grow up and start families of their own is one of her greatest joys of being a dentist.   

Dr. Margaret Anne Detmer has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Wichita District Dental Society, and the Seattle Study Club for a number of years now.  She enjoys learning and staying up to date on new research and the latest technology in dentistry. She also volunteers at the Kansas Mission of Mercy and with the Donated Dental Services program every year. She is passionate about giving back to the community she loves.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  Her two oldest children are both dentists and her youngest is finishing up medical school and will then begin a residency in Neurology. She also loves spending time enjoying the outdoors.  Dr. Margaret Anne Detmer is an active member at her church and the Wichita dental community.
